Hotel Lava Beach

Our 5th visit to this brilliant relaxing hotel. After a mammoth queue to clear passport control at the airport, it was a most welcome sense of peace and tranquility to arrive at Lava Beach and receive a warm welcome - like coming home. |Hotel staff are attentive, helpful and professional. Any queries are dealt with promptly, courteously and professionally. |We stayed bed and breakfast - disappointed to see no nuts! But asked and next day there they were! Thank you. |We also like and consider good value to buy x 3 nights vouchers for dinner. Good choices with a great array of starters, mains and desserts. Live cooking station for fish or meat dishes too. |Our premium room overlooking the beach and listening to the waves lapping on shore was a wonderful haven of peace and quiet. I noted that a previous guest had said don’t have a room number starting 11**, our room was 1102 with a sunny balcony and great view. |One of the features I really like at this hotel is the peace and quiet around the pool there’s no music permanently blasting out !! Also it was great to see more yoga, Pilates and exercise classes. Really good classes and wonderful teachers to guide you. ||We are already planning our 6th visit - just a matter of when!!

Wonderful one night stay. Pity roof top bar and Amora restaurant closed in early week. Champagne on arrival, wine in room. Spacious and nice decor. Japanese style toilet great. Had couples massage in Spa, wonderful. Only Buffet restaurant open - reasonable value at €30. Drinks in general reasonable for a 5 star property. Will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were very good, rooms were lovely, public areas clean tidy and not too busy, there are plenty of sitting areas and the food was excellent. The location is good, in a quieter area but with bus stops not far away to take you anywhere you want to go. The only thing letting it down a little bit is the evening entertainment. 2 of the acts we saw were very good, 2 were ok but the other 3 were pretty poor which was a shame. But overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Lava Beach to anyone.

A fantastic stay in the Lava Beach hotel, the 5 star rating is justified. ||Rooms were first class, spacious and spotless. ||Facilities including the spa were all faultless, we didn’t eat in the restaurant but there’s a selection of restaurants both up and down the the promenade within 5 minute walk. ||Breakfast was fresh varied with chef on hand for the omelette and pancake station, the Cava was a great touch. ||Will definitely be back here, the main playa del carmen area is around 40 minute stroll but a taxi back is only 4€ ||Staff were all great in the hotel and the generally good and drink prices were much cheaper than previous hotels where you get ripped off ||Piano bar at night had different entertainment each night and was a nice touch for finishing off the night ||First class trip!

The location of this hotel is excellent. Straight out of the hotel onto the promenade leading to a selection of restaurants either way. Our room was really good and had a balcony with a sunbed and 2 comfortable chairs. We found the majority of the staff were friendly. Would especially like to mention Nicole and Laura who walked around regularly with big smiles checking everything was okay. Loved that the no reserving sunbeds rule before 10 was enforced, although there were always beds available. The selection at breakfast was good and the whole hotel was clean and well maintained. |Negatives- do not like their system of payment with giving your room number and signing. Mistakes can be made. Also wish it was an adults only.|Will we return - you bet!

We stayed for a night before flying out the following morning. We were staying in Hotel Cordial Marina Blanca in Playa Blanca but left as too quiet.|Lava beach was a treat, from arrival being offered a glass of champagne by lovely friendly receptionist to spacious tastily designed room. It was my first time trying a Japanese style bidet/toilet and beat putting toilet paper in a bin (yuck) so prevalent on the island. |Lovely spacious balcony west facing overlooking the pool. It turned out to be above the piano bar and though we heard the music at night it didn't stop us sleeping in comfy beds. Nice touch of complimentary bottle of white Lanzarote wine and mini bar. |Luxury bath robes we used to go to Spa and had a wonderful couples massage, in which I fell asleep under the hands of Ivan. A jacuzzi in the spa area was a very private treat. |Disappointed that Aroma restaurant and roof top bar were closed Sun-Tues as I recall but the buffet was decent enough with service stations to cook fresh fish or meats. Reasonable value at €30.|As noted the drinks were reasonably priced for a 5 star and pool side service attentive. Looked at room service but menu very basic.|Not adults only but didn't see any children and not much facilities for them|Will be back for a longer stay and to explore the local area.

Just returned from five nights in this beautiful hotel . Bedrooms are very comfortable, public areas have been well designed and offer many areas to sit and relax. We had only booked for bed and breakfast but decided to take advantage of the offer to have dinner in the hotel . The quality and variety of food at breakfast and dinner buffets as well as the pool bar was consistently high . We enjoyed the entertainment in the lounge bar each evening. Overall an excellent hotel .

The hotel is excellent and everyone working here is so friendly and attentive. The room was spotless everyday and all the facilities including the pool and gardens were very well maintained. Drinks were reasonably priced and the food at the hotel was excellent quality. Location is close to the airport so good for a short break. But if you are coming for a longer trip I would suggest you hire a car to see more of the island. Special shoutout to Monika from the rooftop bar who was very attentive and friendly.
